It was a very informative meeting. In one of the question / answers relating to “how did we get here” and a $8m budget deficit, I found it interesting that we had some known changes coming for the past 5 – 6 years. True, many were out of our control mandated from the State; Changes that should have in fact been addressed with budget considerations like expenses or taxes each year. In not addressing, we know have a very large gap being the current deficit. Balancing a budget with class sizes of 25+ (K-2) and 30+ (3-8) is the equivalent of asking the kids to pay.
