At last night’s school board meeting, the board approved the preliminary budget for the 2013-14 school year. The board also approved the resignation of School Board Member Beth Ludwig.

I was not able to go to the meeting last night, and I have a gazillion questions. Is that preliminary budget based on closing Peebles? How much $$ in renovations to Bradford Woods does it include? Is it based on paying one less elementary school principal (which would be the case if they close Peebles)? And finally, why do of the media announcements of Mrs. Ludwig’s resignation COMPLETELY fail to mention the public outcry surrounding her disparaging remarks that were caught on video, not to mention the subsequent request from many parents that she resign?
